Date Published

Markets Media published the agenda and panelists for the SEC’s Sept. 17, 2026, roundtable on preparations for 24-hour trading. The event will be held at the Commission’s headquarters at 100 F Street N.E., Washington, D.C., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET, with doors opening at 9 a.m. It is open to the public and will be webcast live; a recording will be posted later on sec.gov.
Opening remarks will come from the SEC Chairman and Commissioners and Jamie Selway, Director of the Division of Trading and Markets, followed by a data presentation from Dan Mathisson of the Office of Analytics and Research.
Three panels
- Preparedness for a 24-Hour Market — exchange and broker-dealer readiness, overnight surveillance, closing-price processes, clearance and settlement, and investor protection, with a read on what is done and what remains.
- Resiliency in a 24-Hour Market — systems readiness, Regulation SCI, failover and capacity, market-data continuity, cybersecurity, and overnight staffing models.
- Expected Impacts and Next Steps — liquidity and capital formation, issuer effects, “Day 2” market-structure work, and what it would take to move from weekday overnight trading toward 24×7.
24X on the program
Dmitri Galinov of 24X is listed on Panel Three, alongside firms including Citadel Securities, Invesco, Citi, BNP Paribas, DriveWealth, Blue Ocean, OTC Markets, and ModernIR. That seat puts 24X in the conversation about what comes after launch: how participation may evolve once weekday overnight trading is in production, and what infrastructure a later expansion would require.
The Commission also posted the official agenda and panelist list. In-person attendance requires registration; the webcast does not.
