DTCC's NSCC Goes Live With 24x5 Clearing for U.S. Equities

DTCC's NSCC is now live with 24x5 clearing for U.S. equities—Sunday through Friday—advancing 24X National Exchange's vision of an around-the-clock

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has taken its National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) live with 24x5 clearing—running continuously from Sundays at 8:00 PM ET through Fridays at 8:00 PM ET. NSCC now applies its central counterparty guarantee immediately to trades executed across extended hours and multiple time zones, a major milestone for the U.S. equities market.

A Critical Enabler for 24X

“The expansion to 24x5 clearing is a critical enabler for continuous trading models,” said 24X National Exchange Founder and CEO Dmitri Galinov. “As a venue built to operate beyond traditional market hours, we see strong demand from global participants seeking seamless 24x5 access to U.S. equities. This development helps align clearing infrastructure with that demand and supports 24X’s long-term vision of a truly around-the-clock marketplace.”

What Comes Next

The expanded hours build on enhancements NSCC introduced in September 2024 and already support overnight activity from alternative trading systems. Exchanges are expected to extend their trading hours later in 2026, alongside planned extensions from the Securities Information Processors (SIPs).
